Middleham occurs as little market town within Wensleydale of the Yorkshire Dales. There has been a payout there since the Romans were within Britain.

A village is dominated per castle, which was started inside 1190. This castle was inhabited by King Richard III of England during much of his reign.

Now a village occurs as modern center of horse racing in the UK. A 1st race horse trainer to train there was Isaac Cape who trained in 1765. Now there are many race horse trainers depending there including Mark Johnston. Racing is the first employer in the town.
